George Simpson and Neal Burger met at Universal Studios where they were both sound editors. Their friendship developed into a working partnership as screen writers and novelists.

Their screenplay, The Disappearance of Flight 412, was produced in 1974 in a made-for-television military science fiction drama starring Glenn Ford, Bradford Dillman, David Soul and Guy Stockwell.

Here they are with Glenn Ford on the set of the movie. Neal is on the left and George is on the right.

Ghost Boat was made into a two-part television film by Granada Television in the UK in 2006. This riveting supernatural war drama stars David Jason and is directed by Stuart Orme.

Neal and George are sadly no longer with us, but their books and screenplays live on!
